About VictimPower and It Works Assoc. Inc.

The VictimPower.org website was created by a family in Massachusetts, USA, with the assistance of twelve college students and a world-class expert in Internet authentication, security, and pattern recognition.

Diane Williams Galebach, mother of 10 children ages 3 through 21, launched a program in 2003 to convey life skills and family life values to college-age young people. The program, called It Works, became the vehicle for creating VictimPower.org.

Participants in the 2004 It Works program from Harvard, Boston University, Georgetown, John Carroll, Montgomery College, Azuza Pacific and Seattle Pacific -- performed the extensive research, database compilation, front-end web design, and back-end server programming necessary to make VictimPower.org a reality.

The technology and pattern recognition advisor for the site, David Justin Ross, is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of RAF Technology Inc. in Redmond, Washington. Among other distinctions, he is the

  • Inventor of the authentication system used by the US Treasury
  • Department for its e-commerce site, Pay.gov
  • Lead designer of the software that reads and routes the mail for the US Postal Service
  • Co-inventor of the first omni-font scanner in the 1980s

Ross has offered his time and talents to review victim and witness reports to identify patterns of abuse and connections among abusers.

Diane Galebach's husband, Stephen Galebach, is the legal adviser to VictimPower.org, and he assisted extensively in its design. A former legal policy adviser in the Reagan White House and senior aide to the US Attorney General, he has more recently done legal work for various Internet and other technology companies. He does not represent any party in any abuse case or other litigation related to the users of VictimPower.org.

The creators of VictimPower are united by a desire to help victims by connecting them to law enforcement and other authorities in a way that protects victims and witnesses, while holding accountable those in positions of authority. Our hope is that enhanced accountability will make the schools, neighborhoods, workplaces, and churches of our land into safer places for the next generation.

VictimPower.org is owned and operated by It Works Association Inc., a nonprofit organization with offices at One Knollcrest Drive, Andover, MA 01810. Contact us.
